Liz Crawford grew up in Oxfordshire. At the age of 8 she got her first guitar and hasn't stopped playing and singing since. She first learnt traditional folk songs and then quickly moved onto 1960's pop. She kept her interest in music and performing through school, playing classical, pop, blues and jazz..

Liz became a nurse in 1995 so she could work overseas.. she worked in Sierra Leone and Sri Lanka for the aid agency Medecins Sans Frontieres (www.uk.msf.org) , as a nurse. It was here that she developed her songwriting further and then on her return to the UK she started performing on the live scene, initially in Manchester (2002) and then when she moved to London (2003) - first playing at the 12 Bar Club.

Since then she has played gigs in many music venues in London and the UK. (The River Bar Cafe, Jamies, Hodgsons, The Hope and Anchor, The Comedy Club, The Sound Bar Cafe, The Stage Door and more). At the end of 2005 her first international appearance playing in Canada at a venue called Brutopia! Liz's first CD The Palava Blues was completed and released in October 2005. A collection of songs inspired by experience and observation, ranging from simple love songs to political comment. Since 2005 Liz has performed at The Stage Door in Waterloo, Jamies in Charlotte Street, The River Bar, The Slaughtered Lamb, The Penge Festival : The Crooked Billet, Christchurch: Gypsy Hill, The Gladstone, Hodgsons, The Green Dragon and The Perserverance.

2006-2007 saw Liz working with Rob Kidd recording the new album "Living in Lyrics" which is released now, January 2008. Liz continues to combine a busy day job with playing gigs in a variety of venues in London and will soon be planning an album launch. Liz hopes and aims for people to connect with her music and lyrics and in the end to down right enjoy the songs!
